Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions

Effective from 7 October 2026

These terms apply to gift vouchers purchased online from Mélange Restaurants Ltd, trading as Mélange Restaurant.

1. About Our Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are issued by Mélange Restaurants Ltd, trading as Mélange Restaurant, 45 Topsfield Parade, Tottenham Lane, Crouch End, London, N8 8PT.

Online voucher orders are placed on our separate Giftpro-hosted voucher website. Giftpro provides the ordering platform and arranges voucher fulfilment on our behalf. Payments for online gift vouchers are processed through Stripe.

Mélange Restaurants Ltd is the voucher issuer and is responsible for honouring vouchers at the restaurant. Giftpro’s fulfilment role and Stripe’s payment-processing role do not replace your contract with us or affect your statutory consumer rights.

2. Validity

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The expiry date will appear on the voucher or purchase confirmation.

Vouchers must be redeemed before expiry. Any unused balance expires on that date and is not refundable, except where required by law.

Management may consider an extension in exceptional circumstances if requested before expiry. Extensions are discretionary and must be confirmed in writing.

3. Using Your Voucher

Gift vouchers may be redeemed against food and drink at Mélange Restaurant.

Vouchers may be used for full or part payment. Any amount exceeding the available voucher balance must be paid using another accepted payment method.

If the full value is not used, the remaining balance stays on the voucher and may be used on a future visit before its original expiry date.

Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash, and no cash change is given. This does not affect cancellation or refund rights under section 5.

Vouchers cannot be used to purchase another gift voucher.

4. Reservations

A voucher does not guarantee a reservation. Bookings are subject to availability and the booking and cancellation conditions communicated when the reservation is made.

Guests are advised to book in advance and mention that they intend to use a voucher.

The voucher or its unique code must be presented when settling the bill.

5. Cancellation, Returns and Refunds

Cancellation within 14 days

The purchaser may cancel an unused online gift voucher within 14 days after receipt of the voucher. These terms do not shorten any longer statutory cancellation period that applies.

To cancel, notify us clearly of your decision. You may email info@melangerestaurant.co.uk, telephone 020 8341 1681, or write to the address in section 10.

Please provide the purchaser’s name and sufficient order information to identify the purchase. You may use the cancellation form below, but you do not have to.

Following valid cancellation of an unused voucher, we will arrange for it to be deactivated and for the amount paid to be refunded, including any standard delivery charge. If you expressly chose a premium delivery service, the additional cost above the standard delivery charge is not refundable, except where required by law.

Refunds will be arranged through the Giftpro ordering system and the Stripe payment service, using the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed. Refunds will be made without undue delay and within 14 days of receiving the cancellation notice. No refund processing fee will be charged.

A cancelled voucher cannot be redeemed. If we request the return of a physical voucher, we will provide instructions and cover any necessary return postage.

After the cancellation period

After the applicable 14-day cancellation period, we do not accept change-of-mind returns or issue change-of-mind refunds.

This applies where the purchaser or recipient no longer wants the voucher or does not use it before expiry.

Used vouchers and statutory rights

Our voluntary cancellation offer applies to unused vouchers. Where a voucher has been partly or fully redeemed, any remaining statutory cancellation or refund entitlement will be assessed under applicable law.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits statutory consumer rights, including rights arising where we fail to provide what was agreed. Any refund required by law remains available.

6. Lost, Stolen or Damaged Vouchers

Please keep vouchers and their unique codes secure.

If a voucher is lost, stolen, damaged or accidentally deleted, contact us promptly.

We may be able to replace the unredeemed value where satisfactory proof of purchase is provided and we can verify the voucher’s status.

We cannot normally restore value already redeemed by another person. This does not exclude any responsibility we have under applicable law.

7. Gifts, Transfers and Resale

Vouchers may be given to another person as a gift.

They must not be resold, exchanged commercially or advertised for sale without our written permission.

We may suspend a voucher while reasonably investigating suspected fraud or unauthorised resale. Any cancellation or other action will be proportionate and subject to applicable consumer rights.

8. Online Ordering, Payment and Delivery

Purchases are completed on our Giftpro-hosted voucher website. Payments are processed through Stripe. Giftpro arranges the sending of vouchers on our behalf; vouchers are not dispatched directly by the restaurant.

The purchaser should check all order details and provide an accurate delivery address.

E-vouchers are sent through Giftpro to the email address supplied during purchase. Please check your junk or spam folder if the voucher does not arrive.

Physical vouchers, where offered and selected, are fulfilled through Giftpro and delivered by the relevant postal or courier service to the address supplied. Applicable delivery charges and estimated delivery times will be shown during ordering.

If a voucher does not arrive, contact info@melangerestaurant.co.uk or 020 8341 1681 so we can liaise with Giftpro as necessary to investigate and arrange an appropriate resolution.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees unless expressly stated at checkout. Use of Giftpro, Stripe or a delivery service does not exclude or limit any responsibility we have under applicable law, including your delivery and refund rights.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms for future purchases.

The terms applying when a voucher was purchased continue to apply to that voucher, except where a change is required by law or otherwise agreed with the purchaser.
